About Us

Pastor John Bell

A lifelong Methodist who was raised in Downers Grove, IL; he received his undergraduate degree in History from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL and his master’s degree in Divinity from Duke Divinity School in Durham, N.C. And he has many years of experience as Pastor in the Methodist Church.

Year built: End of 2003, beginning of 2004.

Size and character: 500 members of all ages and backgrounds.

Biggest turnout: 258 for Christmas 2005.

Biggest wish-list item: The completion of our building by adding our sanctuary.

Biggest issue facing the church: Serving our community and congregation as we grow.

Most memorable service: Christmas Eve 2003, service was by candlelight in the new building before it was complete.

Proudest moment: When new members join our church family.
